NYN Media CEO Corner Podcast with Jane Heaphy of Learning Leaders

(Aimée Simpierre, left, speaks to Jane Heaphy.)

Parents, grandparents and caretakers are all critical stakeholders in the successful education of a child. But how do you get them engaged in that process? Learning Leaders bills itself as New York City’s largest and most experienced nonprofit organization dedicated to engaging families and communities to support student success. Every year they engage over 4,000 volunteers, 50 percent of whom speak a language other than English at home, to make a difference in the lives of 120,000 public school students - most from low-income communities. New York Nonprofit Media’s Editor at Large, Aimée Simpierre, talked with its CEO, Jane Heaphy, for our CEO Corner podcast.

New York Nonprofit Media regularly interviews nonprofit leaders to discuss their professional experience, lessons learned, perspectives on the industry and more. To recommend a candidate for our CEO Corner, contact Dan Rosenblum at drosenblum@nynmedia.com.
