Diaz Sr. To Endorse Rob Astorino

Update: A credible source has assured City & State contributor Gerson Borrero that State Senator Rubén Díaz Sr. will endorse Republican Rob Astorino by next Friday. 

In an exclusive @CityAndStateTV interview back in June the controversial Bronx politician told Borrero that he was leaning toward the Republican candidate over Governor Andrew Cuomo.

When asked in that interview if he would support Gov. Andrew Cuomo for re-election, Diaz responded by saying it was "a topic for a latter conversation."

He went on to praise Astorino saying he "is a good friend" adding: "We have established a relationship better and bigger than the one I have with the governor."
