Zenaida Méndez Files Grievance with NYS-NOW Election Chair

City And State has obtained a copy of a Request for Affirmation of Validity of Candidates for President of NOW-NYS addressed to David Cardall, Chair of their Election Committee. (document below) 

In an interview with Gerson Borrero (see here at the 8:00 -12:30 mark) on December 1, the immediate past President of NYS-NOW alleged that there were a series of irregularities and violations of the organization’s election procedures.

Days after this interview was posted, the newly-elected President of the NYS-NOW, Sonia Osorio, made several calls to both of our owners, our Publisher and Editor In Chief demanding that the interview be taken down. Ms. Osorio claims. among other things, that ("     ").

City And State has invited Ms. Osorio to a sit-down interview with Borrero and invited her to write a letter that we would publish outlining her objections. Thus far she has refused both.

We also include a copy of NYS-NOW Chapter by laws in this up date and a copy of the minutes of the April 4, 2014 meeting in which the organization’s 2014 election was discussed.
