Views of Queens
What is the one thing that would make Queens better?
City & State posed that question to every elected official in the borough who serves in Congress, the state Legislature or the New York City Council.
The 27 officials who responded identified everything from spurring tourism and sprucing up the waterfront to perennial issues like parks, schools and affordable housing. Other proposals, such as relocating the United Nations from Manhattan to Queens, were more imaginative. And the most common concern, by far, was the need for better transportation options in the borough.
