Hartley House Secures $175,000 to Hire Assistant Executive Director

Hartley House, which provides school-aged youth and senior services to the Hell’s Kitchen community, secured $175,000 from the Booth Ferris Foundation to fund the new position of assistant executive director. Through this role, newly appointed Megan Ducoff will help with Hartley House’s programmatic alignment, staff development and identifying community needs.

“We are delighted that Megan Ducoff is joining Hartley House as our AED, a brand new position,” said Nicole L. Cicogna, executive director of Hartley House, in a press release.

Ducoff earned a master’s degree in social work from Rutgers University and has worked at the homeless relief nonprofit Covenant House in several roles, including site coordinator, research director, director of child protective services and director of performance improvement.

The creation of the new position comes at the heels of Hartley House’s implementation of its new strategic plan. Approved in March, the plan prioritizes expanding youth services, increasing intergenerational planning and providing professional development to its staff. The new role of assistant executive director will facilitate expanding on these initiatives.
