The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene has awarded a $600,000 contract to Morris Heights Health Centers, according to the City Record. The money will fund health care management services, including managed care services. The city Human Resources Administration has given a $1.97 million contract to Seamen’s Society for Children and Families – the Staten Island-based organization will provide non-residential domestic violence services citywide, according to the City Record.
Blockchain enthusiasts are still pushing for the technology to be adopted by nonprofits. “Through the voting and funding platform in place, members can submit proposals on how to use the self-replenishing budget. As an example, a charity kitchen proposal was recently passed to provide food for the poor,” reads the press release.
A prominent New York City activist alleges that an anonymous troll reported him to child protective services. Shaun King made the allegation on Twitter and said that the Administration for Children’s Services would not tell him who made the allegation, which is its standard practice.
