For almost 50 years, the Fund for the City of New York has worked to innovate how governments and nonprofits meet their targets. The Fund offers awards to accomplished city workers and educators, offers bridge loans to nonprofits awaiting government or foundation dollars, and a partner project program that offers back-end support for startup organizations. Mary McCormick, president of the Fund has had a long career in city government, served the Robin Hood Foundation's board, and helped co-found the Food Bank for New York City.
